Marmaduke Explained

Marmaduke Explained is, by far, my most favorite web comic on the internetz. It’s dry. It’s sarcastic. It’s absurd. It’s unassumingly brilliant. It’s nothing less than a physical manifestation of my inner soul on the internet.

Here’s the latest strip:

Joe Mathlete’s Explanation: Marmaduke is sitting in front of a large sign that advertises him as a discount well-digger for hire. Two neighborhood senior citizens wander by and dismiss Marmaduke’s business venture as a scheme, not only mistaking the great and terrifying beast’s true “murder pit” intentions but failing to step back and think about how surreally antiquated the concept of a 21st-century suburban well-digging service is. Undaunted, Marmaduke looks out into the middle distance and imagines how fun it would be to murder his neighbors in a pit.
